A Few Words of Thanks to Our Friends and Neighbors
Approaching 50 years in the real estate industry, it seems that I’ve witnessed the oxcart to the laser beam transformation in technological, financial, political and societal changes affecting home and property sales. At our Wednesday morning staff meetings, I reminisce occasionally about the simplicity of the one-page contracts we used in 1969, or the importance of a handshake or one’s word that defined trust and character. Things are different now: contracts begin at 10 pages, and we end up with a ream of paper in disclosures and reports trying to sum up same thing the handshake accomplished. The amount of work and effort to close a sale seems endless, and some would wonder if its really worth the trouble…but here’s my reason for sticking to my decision to be a real estate broker so many years ago: the people, the relationships that have been built over the years, the ability to serve the fine people of the Central San Joaquin Valley. We appreciate the opportunity to meet and care for the needs of new buyers and sellers who then become our advocates, referring their family and friends, and returning for their own repeat business. We endeavor to earn trust and hope that our character is exemplified by that trust.
I am humble, and humbled, as I say that people and relationships are the integral part of our business. Nothing is as gratifying as seeing a smile, a sigh of relief, or the genuine expression of thankfulness when we’ve helped someone accomplish a goal, realize a dream, increase their net worth, secure the future for their family and perhaps generations to come. Homes are our inventory, the product we sell, but service is our business. Building relationships is our Company goal, making people happy is what we do.
Our relationship with the Century 21 franchise for over 40 years has brought a tremendous benefit to our agent associates through branding and state-of-the-art tools to give our clients every technological marketing advantage.
